Bill O’Byrne
I was an overseas missionary in Saint Petersburg, Russia from 1993 to 2015 with my wife Priscilla, where we raised four children. I’ve taught Spiritual Formation and Biblical Studies at Saint Petersburg Christian University for 18 years.
During my tenure in Russia, I co-founded the Order of Imago Christi. Our family moved to the US in 2015 to take up the team leadership role in Imago Christi and presently live near Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
I hold an M.Div and M.A. in Christian Education from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. I am passionate about Contemplative Worship and cross-cultural ministry. I enjoy sailing and crawling around rocks whether on a shoreline, or in the mountains. "A Lenten Journey: A Contemplative Devotional on the Passion and Resurrection of Christ" (2012) is one of the books I’ve had the privilege to author.
Links to my books and articles can be found at: https://www.imagochristi.org/bill-obyrne, or on his author page on Amazon.
You can read more about my ministry at https://www.imagochristi.org.
I coach leaders and missionaries in all Imago Christi Resources, provides spiritual direction and leads retreats on request, and presents "Spiritual Formation Discovery" events internationally.
I’ve enjoyed directing dozens of pastors and missionaries around the world, serving as a spiritual director, or as a listener for the Ignatian Exercises.
