Melinda Cathey
I am passionate about leaders understanding how their own histories impact their ability to deeply trust God and minister to others. I am passionate about leaders learning practical ways to partner with the Holy Spirit to engage wounded people and cultures.
I received my MA in Counseling Psychology from Trinity International University in 1985 and practiced individual, family, and marriage counseling in a variety of settings: community health, church, private practice.
I moved to Russia with Mark in 2001 where we lived, raised our 3 children, and I co-founded the Harbor (a residential, transitional care program for orphans aging out of the system). I was the Director until 2015, when I went to study TBRI (Trust Based Relational Intervention) under the late Dr. Karyn Purvis. I became a TBRI Educator and consultant in 2016. I have been training and consulting with missionaries, ministries, and organizations working with orphans or foster kids in any capacity. I serve in Russia, Mexico, Bolivia, Colombia, Honduras, Ecuador, Peru and the U.S.
