Sean Collier

I love being able to come alongside others in various ways--as a mentor, coach, spiritual director, facilitator or a strategic thinker--no matter stage of faith or life they are in--so they can be rooted in the love of Christ in order that their “doing” in ministry might flow from their “being” in Christ.

I delight in helping others to encounter Jesus in fresh, creative ways that connects with their minds, hearts, and bodies.

I am especially passionate about helping leaders to cultivate a deeper awareness of God’s movement in them and around them, notice their response to that movement, to grow in intimacy with God, and to live out the implications of this in every area of their lives.

After spending 25 years living and serving in Japan and Cambodia, my heart naturally gravitates to working with cross-cultural leaders who are apostolic, think outside the box, and enjoy working with underserved people who live in the margins. I joyfully serve others through the ministries of coaching; spiritual direction; lead individuals and groups through the Ignatian Exercises; mentoring; consulting; and the design and facilitation of strengths-based, high-impact experiences that inspire connection, learning, and belonging for groups and teams. I am also a member of the EL Lead Team. I have an amazing wife--Alice—and three creative, joyful children. Alice is also a spiritual director, coach and professional facilitator. She leads the Makers Team, a team of artists who apply arts and creativity to life on mission around the world. We are based in her hometown in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and take advantage of every opportunity to travel and serve others together.
